VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — The City of Virginia Beach announced they will be opening the parking garages at Town Center amid tidal flooding concerns over the weekend.
Moderate to major tidal flooding expected from weekend storm
According to a Facebook post, as a result of heavy rain, flooding and high winds expected to hit Virginia Beach over the weekend, the city will allow for residents to move their vehicles out of flood-prone areas and into the Town Center parking garages.
Residents will be able to move their cars starting on Saturday afternoon and through Monday morning.
People are still asked to avoid parking in reserved or resident spaces…
