NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A Norfolk man who broke into a Bayview home in March 2024, and was later caught while wearing the victim’s belongings, was recently sentenced for the crime.
Timothy Alan Newell, 37, was sentenced to three years in prison on Friday, Oct. 3, after pleading guilty in April to burglary and grand larceny for a break-in on East Bayview Boulevard.
Newell admitted to breaking into a house while the owner was away and stealing valuables, including cash, jewelry, and a vehicle. The incident was reported on March 14, 2024, when a friend of the homeowner noticed the back door was open and items were missing…
