Norfolk man arrested for grand larceny: Police

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – A man was arrested following an ongoing investigation stemming from an incident on Oct. 17, according to Norfolk Police.

Officers say they received a report in which a man, later identified as 38-year-old Daniel S. Carpenter, had taken a car without the owner’s permission.

He was then charged with unauthorized use of a vehicle and grand larceny.

Carpenter is currently being held at Norfolk City Jail without bond. Police say he also had an unrelated outstanding warrant on file…
