PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY)– Crews in Portsmouth responded to a fire in the Craddock section of the city Friday morning.
According to officials, crews were called to the 100 block of Emmons Place just after 10 a.m. for the report of a residential structure fire. When crews arrived, they found a two-story apartment building with a well involved fire in the rear of the structure that extended to one additional living unit.
Crews made an aggressive interior attack on both apartments and were able to stop the fire from spreading to additional units. The fire was marked under control at 10:29 a.m…
