VBPD: Man arrested on drug, firearm charges

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY)– Police in Virginia Beach have arrested a man on several drug and gun charges.

According to police, the Third Precinct led an investigation that resulted in the recovery of multiple firearms, marijuana packaged for distribution, THC cartridges, and hallucinogenic mushrooms.

As a result, police arrest 28-year-old Jose A. Tiburcio III. He faces the following charges:

  • Abduction
  • Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony
  • Brandishing a Firearm
  • Preventing a Victim from Calling 911
  • Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana
  • Possession with Intent to Distribute THC Oil
  • Possession of Hallucinogenic Mushrooms
  • Possession of a Firearm While in Possession of Narcotics
  • Six counts of Lying on a State Form

VBPD coordinated with the Crime Suppression Squad (CSS) and the SWAT team to execute multiple warrants which led to this arrest…
