HRT extends ‘OnDemand Ridesharing’ through December in two cities

(WAVY) — Hampton Roads Transit announced they are extending the OnDemand Ridesharing service in Newport News and Virginia Beach through December after what officials call a successful pilot program.

The pilot program was geared towards people in areas with limited bus access and was set to end in September. It will now continue through the end of the year in one zone in both Virginia Beach and Newport News.
