PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) — One victim has died and two were injured in a shooting on George Washington Highway Saturday night, according to Portsmouth Police.
At around 11:22 p.m. on Nov.1, officers responded to a call for a shooting in the 4500 block of George Washington Highway. They found two people with life-threatening gunshot wounds, pronouncing one of them dead at the scene. Officers later found out a third victim had left the scene before they arrived and was being treated at a local hospital. Medics at the scene transported the second victim to a local hospital.
The suspect’s identity is currently unknown.
