BOWDOINHAM, Maine — A Virginia man was arrested Friday night after police said he drove the wrong way on Interstate 295 in Bowdoinham.
Maine State Police said troopers responded around 11:30 p.m. to reports of a vehicle traveling north in the southbound lanes near mile marker 37. A trooper saw the suspect vehicle headed north in the southbound lanes and was able to box in the car, where it came to a stop.
The driver was identified as 26-year-old Rashard Robinson of Chesapeake, Virginia. He was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Kennebec County Jail. Robinson faces charges of operating under the influence and reckless conduct with a dangerous weapon, police said…
