NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — After 57 years, Capt. Thomas Edwin Scheurich is finally home.
The remains of Scheurich, a U.S. Navy captain, have finally returned home after he disappeared during the Vietnam War nearly six decades ago.
A motorcycle escort featuring law enforcement from all over Hampton Roads, along with Patriot Guard Riders, led Scheurich’s family to the tarmac at Norfolk International Airport.
