Chesapeake stabbing case goes to grand jury following preliminary hearing

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Charges of felony malicious assault in connection to the stabbing of a woman outside the U.S. Coast Guard Community Services Center in Chesapeake in September will go to the grand jury following a preliminary hearing Wednesday.

Chesapeake stabbing suspect arrested in North Carolina ID’d

Kaden Noe, 19, was arrested in connection with the stabbing of a woman in Chesapeake on the morning of Sept. 3, and was taken into custody in Currituck County and charged with malicious assault later that day.

Chesapeake Police responded to a call on Independence Parkway for a report of an injured person, and when officers arrived, they found a woman with a laceration wound, police said. But by then, Noe had gotten away.

According to the Currituck County Sheriff’s Office, when deputies surrounded Noe’s vehicle outside Atlantic Union Bank in Moyock about two hours later, he did not respond to any commands and instead blasted music and revved the engine of his car repeatedly.
