Free bike night kicks off Virginia Beach Holiday Lights at the Beach

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — The magic of the holidays returns to the Virginia Beach Boardwalk this week with a special free preview of the BayPort Credit Union Holiday Lights at the Beach. Cyclists of all ages are invited to enjoy Holiday Bike Night on Thursday, November 13, before the official opening on Friday.

The ride begins at 5:30 p.m. at 10th Street, where participants can pedal north along the bike path, taking in the twinkling light displays before turning around to return. Event organizers expect more than 2,000 cyclists to participate, many adorned with festive lights and holiday decorations on their bikes.

The annual holiday tradition transforms the Virginia Beach Oceanfront into a winter wonderland, featuring the world’s largest and longest curved LED Light Tunnel, a 40-foot dancing-light Christmas tree, color-changing archways, and luminous tributes honoring the Armed Forces community.
