VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – A man pleaded guilty to charges of abduction, strangulation and assault and battery of a family member following a domestic dispute April 27, according to the Virginia Beach Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney.
The incident occurred 10:17 p.m. in the Lago Mar neighborhood, near the 2400 block of Brasileno Drive. Officers arrived on scene and found Gokhan Karabulut, 39, armed with a knife, holding it to the throat of another person.
