CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) – The Chesapeake NAACP and the Virginia State Conference NAACP are weighing in after a fight in a Chesapeake restaurant and the subsequent fallout that has made national news, saying “discriminatory actions” took place there.

10 On Your Side, which broke the news earlier this week, went to the home of the owners of Cork and Bull Chophouse, and they declined to comment on the recent controversy. Meanwhile, the Virginia NAACP is calling for accountability.
“There probably should be a swift statement of, this is not our policy, this is not what we do, this is not what we stand for, and the fact that that hasn’t come yet and here we are almost two weeks after the event, is a bit disturbing,” said NAACP Virginia State Conference President Rev. Cozy Bailey.
