VIRGINIA — A group of nine Black women in Chesapeake, Virginia say they are pursuing legal action after being removed from the Cork and Bull restaurant during a disturbance they claim they had nothing to do with. The women allege the incident was racially motivated and are now preparing to move forward with discrimination claims.
The dispute, which unfolded inside the restaurant’s dining area, was partially captured in video clips circulating on social media. The footage shows a chaotic moment involving other patrons, followed by restaurant staff instructing the group of women to leave — despite their insistence that they were not part of the altercation.
Women Say They Were Targeted Despite No Involvement in the Fight
