Customs warns parents about counterfeit toys after major seizure in Virginia

NORFOLK, Va. (WSET) — Customs and Border Protection is alerting parents to the dangers of counterfeit toys following a significant seizure in Virginia.

Officers recently confiscated over 17,000 counterfeit children’s items at the Area Port of Norfolk-Newport News.

Officials said the toys were valued at an estimated $775,000, and that the shipment originated from China and was destined for West Virginia.
