NORFOLK, Va. — Our Peoples Soulful Seafood is returning to where it all began. After relocating during the pandemic, the family-owned restaurant has moved back to its original Shoop Avenue location, the spot where it first became a neighborhood staple.
The move marks a homecoming for owner and Norfolk native Carlos Lindsey, who has operated the restaurant with his wife and five children since 2018.
“It’s…it’s trying,” Lindsey laughed about working with his family. “It’s a great thing. When they say family can’t work together, we’ve been doing it for seven years now and we’ve been doing great.”…
