Man sentenced to nearly 2 years on gun and shoplifting charges in Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Carlos Manuel Vaughn, 20, was sentenced to one year and 10 months in prison after pleading guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and misdemeanor shoplifting.

The November sentencing follows a shoplifting incident on May 10, 2025, at a Family Dollar store on East Berkley Avenue, where Vaughn and another individual stole merchandise, according to a release from the Norfolk Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office.
