NWS issues Winter Weather Advisory for the Eastern Shore

The National Weather Service in Wakefield has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Eastern Shore and lower Maryland Eastern Shore, warning residents to prepare for light snow and hazardous travel on Friday. The advisory is in effect from 1 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, December 5.

Forecasters expect snow accumulations of 1 to 2 inches across Dorchester, Wicomico, Somerset, inland Worcester, with the lower end of the forecast expected in Accomack, and Northampton counties.
