NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A Norfolk man was sentenced Friday to five years in prison after being found guilty of conspiracy to distribute cocaine and possession with the intent to distribute cocaine.
Court documents state that in September 2021, law enforcement learned of two packages that were suspected to have narcotics and were in transit from Texas to Virginia. Investigators would find 2.44 pounds of cocaine in the first package, but allowed the second package to continue to its intended address in Norfolk, according to court documents.
On Sept. 9, 2021 after the second package was delivered and left on the front porch, Antonio Deshaka Saunders, 43, retrieved the package, put it in a vehicle and tried to leave, but investigators conducted a traffic stop and recovered the package, which had a kilogram of cocaine, court documents indicated…
