NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Portsmouth police have located the body of a suspect involved in a stolen vehicle pursuit Monday morning on I-264.
An officer identified a stolen vehicle traveling eastbound on Route 164 toward Route 264 at approximately 6:30 a.m. Police said an attempt was made to deploy a GPS device, but it was unsuccessful.
The officer continued to follow the vehicle, and it subsequently crashed at Exit 9, which is Waterside Drive. Police said the driver fled the scene on foot and jumped off the bridge into the water…
