NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) — Snow throughout Hampton Roads Monday froze into ice by Tuesday morning, creating dangerous driving conditions.
While many schools, city offices and businesses delayed openings, some took a chance and drove.

“I got off pretty late yesterday, so I knew it was gonna be pretty bad,” said Nayia Weathers. “I’m a nail tech. The grind doesn’t stop, so I’m here for my clients. I didn’t want to cancel on them, so I was like, you know, we got to get out here,” Weathers added.
