ROCKBRIDGE COUNTY, Va. (WSET) — A man from Chesapeake was arrested in Rockbridge County on December 8 after a license plate camera identified a stolen vehicle he was driving.
The Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office and Lexington City received an alert around 11:30 a.m. Monday from a Flock Safety License Plate Reader in the Fairfield area of the county, identifying a vehicle reported stolen out of Virginia Beach.
Authorities quickly located the vehicle in Raphine at White’s Travel Center and conducted surveillance until additional units arrived, at which point two members of the sheriff’s office boxed in the stolen vehicle and conducted a felony traffic stop.
