Virginia Beach residents to receive $50 annual Oceanfront parking voucher starting in 2026

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Virginia Beach residents will have access to a new Oceanfront parking program beginning in 2026, following City Council approval on Dec. 9. The program provides a $50 annual parking voucher for residents that can be used in municipal garages, surface lots, and on-street metered spaces within the Resort Area.

According to the City of Virginia Beach, the voucher will be available digitally through a mobile app and will renew each year with proof of residency. Residents enrolled in the program will receive the first $50 in parking credits at no cost. For an additional $25, participants may reload the voucher with another $50 in parking credit.

The vouchers may be used at municipal surface lots at 2nd Street, 4th Street, and Rudee Loop; municipal garages at 9th Street, 25th Street, and 31st Street; and on-street metered parking between Rudee Loop and 38th Street along Atlantic Avenue, including bordering side streets between Atlantic and Pacific avenues within the same boundary…
