NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – The ribbon cutting for the Newport Gardens Apartment complex is happening Wednesday, at 2 p.m. The new apartment complex will bring more affordable housing to Norfolk with rent and income-restricted units.
The apartments, located on 601 36th St., will consists of 37 one-bedroom apartments and 13 two-bedroom apartments. An additional eight units supported by project-based rental assistance from the local housing authority.
This development was made possible in part due to a $450,000 loan from LISC Hampton Roads. The Hanson Company is hosting the event…
