Woman arrested after animal cruelty incident involving a French bulldog in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A woman was arrested after an animal cruelty incident involving a French bulldog on Narrow Street in Chesapeake, according to the Chesapeake Police Department.

On Nov. 17, Chesapeake Animal Control investigated a reported animal cruelty incident involving a French bulldog in the 2500 block of Narrow Street. The dog was found in critical condition after undergoing a surgical procedure performed by an unlicensed individual.

Due to the dog’s severe condition, it was transported for emergency veterinary care and later humanely euthanized…
