Accidental fire in Virginia Beach damages two acres of grass

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Virginia Beach Fire Department crews responded to a brush fire in the 3300 block of West Neck Road around 4:40 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters encountered heavy smoke and active flames upon arrival. The property owner had been mowing grass when the fire ignited.
