Dominion charitable arm gives $3.5M in grants, including for mental health program at CHKD

The Dominion Energy Charitable Foundation recently awarded $3.5 million in grants to nonprofit organizations across multiple states, including for a pediatric mental health program here in Hampton Roads.

The Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters received a grant to help provide mental health services for children and community outreach across the state. It was one of 388 organizations across the Dominion Energy footprint to receive the grants.

The grants support a variety of programs and services, including environmental education programs for school children, expanding access to homeownership for families, strengthening housing, food, and health services for veterans and military families, supporting teens and young adults transitioning from foster care, reducing food insecurity and health disparities…
