VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — Hundreds who struggle with homelessness and hunger will be fed and kept warm this Christmas Eve thanks to the Judeo-Christian Outreach Center and Virginia State Sen. Bill DeSteph.
The annual Christmas Eve dinner started as a joint event between the JCOC and DeSteph.
“The first one we did was relatively small, maybe 75 people, and then it’s grown every single year,” DeSteph said. “We also deliver meals. We’ll deliver meals to some of the elderly today. The outreach of it has continued to grow. Every year, it’s more turkeys, more stuff, more everything, more people get involved.”…
