VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Hampton Roads Greenbook announced the launch of the 7 Candle Film Festival, a new cultural event celebrating Black and Indigenous stories, set for Sunday, Dec. 28, 2025.
The free, public festival will run from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library, located at 4100 Virginia Beach Boulevard.
Inspired by the seven candles of Kwanzaa, the festival is designed to highlight films that center Black diasporic and Indigenous experiences.
