Truck driver spreads holiday cheer by fulfilling homeless wish lists in Hampton Roads

SUFFOLK, Va. — From 9 to 5, Jennifer Bolding is a truck driver, but from 5 to 9, she’s driving her van across Hampton Roads to meet the homeless where they are.

“A lot of non-profits and organizations, they might have a building for someone to come and get a meal… but people who are on the street don’t always have access to get to a food bank or organizations to get clothes,” said Bolding, who is the founder of Cruisin’ to Help the Homeless.

Throughout the year, she delivers food and clothes to the unhoused through her nonprofit. Bolding said she’s built relationships with many of the people living out on the streets, and they trust her…
