Stolen vehicle driven by minor crashes, injuring 2 after pursuit in Chesapeake, police say

CHESAPEAKE, Va. — Chesapeake police say a minor is in custody after a reported stolen vehicle led to a crash and brief foot pursuit Sunday morning.

According to police, officers responded around 9:06 a.m. to the area of Kempsville Road and Greenbrier Parkway for a report of a stolen vehicle. A short time later, officers located the suspect vehicle in a shopping center parking lot in the 1300 block of Greenbrier Parkway.

When officers attempted a traffic stop, police said the vehicle fled southbound on Greenbrier Parkway. The driver then entered the northbound lanes while continuing southbound near Greenbrier Middle School. Officers discontinued the pursuit at that point, police said…
