PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) – Nearly a year after 36-year-old Brent Hargraves was shot and killed on Calvin Street, his family says the pain of losing him has not eased, and neither has their search for answers.
Police responded to the scene in January 2025 and found a crashed vehicle with Hargraves inside. He was unresponsive and later pronounced dead. His killing marked the first homicide of the year in Portsmouth. To date, no charges have been filed and no suspect information has been released.
