CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — A man was criminally charged in connection to a fatal shooting at a Chesapeake hotel that left one man dead, according to police.
CPD: Man dies following shooting at hotel on Western Branch Blvd.
It happened at the Budget Lodge, located in the 3200 block of Western Branch Boulevard, on Nov. 25 at approximately 11 p.m.
When officers arrived, they learned a man was shot several hours earlier that evening. Bystanders took the victim to Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, where he succumbed to his injuries. Police identified him as 26-year-old Esean Powell.
Police said Daquan Jerome Henderson was arrested Monday and criminally charged with involuntary manslaughter in the incident.
