Chesapeake men sentenced to prison after attempting to receive three kilos of cocaine

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY)– A man was sentenced to multiple years in prison after attempting to receive kilos of cocaine.

Kevin Russell Beasley, 51, was sentenced to seven years and four months in prison for possession with intent to distribute cocaine and being a felon in possession of a firearm. Court documents revealed a parcel, that was shipped from California, was intercepted by law enforcement of November 1, 2024. The parcel contained over three kilograms of cocaine.

Investigators performed a controlled delivery of the parcel to the intended address in Portsmouth, and the parcel was retrieved by Beasley. He was immediately taken into custody…
