SPRING HOPE — A Nash County Sheriff’s Office K-9 helped capture a Virginia fugitive who authorities say crashed his car in a chase with Spring Hope police officers.
Lacal Richardson, 45, of Stonebridge Drive in Norfolk, Virginia, was arrested Saturday following a search by four law enforcement agencies. The chase began around 2 p.m. when police tried to stop Richardson’s car for a traffic violation on U.S. 64, sheriff’s deputies said.
“The suspect began driving recklessly and exited the highway onto rural roads in Nash County,” a Facebook post from the Nash County Sheriff’s Office says. “The vehicle ultimately crashed behind a residence on East Old Spring Hope Road.”…
