NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Students at Fortis College trying to become registered nurses say the college is not fulfilling its responsibility to coordinate clinical hours so they can take the licensing exam.
In an interview last week with 10 On Your Side’s investigative team, Delsha Howard, Cherelle Brown and Latasha Chacon detailed their frustrations. All three are already licensed practical nurses and are enrolled in the two-year Fortis associate’s degree program for registered nursing.
Many Fortis nursing students are also single mothers, each paying more than $40,000 for the course…
