VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — DeVinche AlBritton, a Virginia inmate, has announced an independent run for the U.S. House of Representatives in Virginia’s 2nd Congressional District, according to the Virginia Public Access Project (VPAP).
According to online court records, AlBritton was convicted of multiple offenses, including abduction, rape, and forgery.
AlBritton, who has maintained his innocence for more than two decades, is currently pursuing legal challenges related to his conviction.
