“I’m still putting my hope in the justice system,” said Reginald Parrish, the victim’s father. “It’s just the beginning. This is the first step. I’ll see what happens later on down the line.”
10 On Your Side viewers have heard from the grieving father. Over the past few weeks, he has explained, in painful details, the violent end of his son’s life. His son’s body was found in the Dismal Swamp canal on a Sunday afternoon in December 2024.

“Well, they told me that he was shot multiple times,” Reginald Parrish said. “He was found in a Dismal Swamp. He was in shorts. He had no sneakers on. His bookbag was cut off.”
