Virginia State Police launch high-visibility enforcement along I-64

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Virginia State Police are launching a high-visibility enforcement effort along Interstate 64 this week, aimed at curbing dangerous driving behaviors across the Commonwealth.

The initiative, known as Operation DISS-RUPT, places additional troopers along nearly 300 miles of I-64 — stretching from the West Virginia border to Virginia Beach. State police say the goal is to increase visibility and encourage safer driving habits along one of Virginia’s busiest travel corridors.
