CPD: Suspect steals gaming headsets, discards them near retention pond

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) — Chesapeake Police seek information after a man stole multiple gaming headsets at an electronics store Tuesday and discarded them near a retention pond.

On Feb. 3, the suspect entered an electronics store in the 1300 block of Eden Way North and filled a garbage bag with multiple gaming headsets, valued at approximately $1,700. As he was leaving the store, he threatened an employee.

The suspect then fled eastbound on Eden Way North toward Greenbrier Mall and got rid of clothing and the stolen items near a retention pond by the old Salvation Army.
