Portsmouth police will pay for property damage repairs following October fugitive arrest

PORTSMOUTH, Va. — Portsmouth police said they are reimbursing a tenant after property damages were incurred during an October arrest.

In October, Portsmouth police arrested Cordero Taylor, who was wanted for a September shooting incident, in the 300 block of Washington Street after he had barricaded himself in a home. Portsmouth police said that during the attempt to arrest Taylor, “a tenant’s door and ceiling sustained damage” that totaled $1,500.
