NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The Norfolk City Council is scheduled to vote Tuesday night on a deal to terminate the lease of H&M, a key move following the recent announcement that MacArthur Center will permanently close its doors at the end of June.
Listed on the council agenda, it says “the city shall provide $1,500,000 to the tenant as an “Early Termination Fee.”The city, which owns the downtown mall, recently revealed plans to begin demolition in late 2026.
