Officer arraigned on charge of brandishing a firearm during Waterside incident

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – Brandon Davis, a 22-year-old Portsmouth police officer, was arraigned Tuesday, Feb. 10, on a charge of brandishing a firearm during a November incident in Norfolk. The charge stems from a confrontation in a Waterside parking garage on the night of the Grand Illumination Parade.

Davis was off-duty at the time of the Nov. 23 incident. The formal charges follow court papers filed in late December detailing witness accounts of the encounter.
