VB sheriff’s deputy donates vehicle to woman in need

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — A Virginia Beach sheriff’s deputy is leaving the driving to someone else, donating his personal vehicle to help a woman in need.

“I was trying to keep it a surprise for her,” said Sabrina Davis, founder of RESET Inc., “but when Captain Johnson reached out to me and said, ‘OK, it’s ready to go,’ I was like, ‘OK, when?’ She was like, ‘Monday.’ And I was like, OK. So when they showed up today, she had no idea what she was going to get, what the car looked like, who was giving it to her. She knew nothing.”

“Last week, I was sitting at home thinking and reflecting back on the timing of when I was able to donate this car to the nonprofit organization,” said Virginia Beach Sheriff’s deputy Eric Osborne, “and I thought, this was Black History Month. It made me think about all the heroes that came before us.”…
