NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — A Waverly man was found not guilty of rape of a victim under 13 years old Tuesday following a jury trial in Norfolk Circuit Court, according to online court records and Commonwealth’s Attorney Ramin Fatehi. It’s a case that dates back more than a half-century.
A Portsmouth woman had taken the stand to share her story in a case — dating back to 1973 — in which there was no DNA evidence, no fingerprints, no fibers, no photographs and no surveillance video.
