VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY)– A Virginia Beach man was sentenced to multiple years in prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm in May 2024.
Court documents revealed that Virginia Beach Police officers observed 33-year-old Khyri Jamar Whitehead remove a firearm from the trunk of a car, places it in the front of his waistband and conceal it with his shirt before entering another vehicle as the passenger. Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle , removed Whitehead and recovered the firearm.
Whitehead had 18 felony convictions prior to this incident. As a convicted felon, Whitehead cannot legally possess firearms or ammunition.
