Large brush fire burns 100 acres in Moyock

MOYOCK, Va. (WAVY) — Fire Crews responded to a large-scale brush fire that burned around 100 acres at two separate locations in Moyock Saturday afternoon, according to Chesapeake Fire Department.

Multiple units responded at 1200 Block of Tulls Creek Road and the 500 Block of Northwest Backwoods Road, according to the Moyock Volunteer Fire Department.

Chesapeake Fire crews worked alongside their partners from Navy Regional Northwest Fire Department, Currituck Fire & EMS, North Carolina Department of Forestry, Moyock Volunteer Fire Department, South Mills Volunteer Fire Department, and Crawford Volunteer Fire Department to contain and control the fire.
