Radio DJ “Shaggy” sentenced for DUI and obstruction of justice

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) – Popular radio DJ Brandon Stokes, known professionally as “Shaggy,” was sentenced in Virginia Beach Feb. 19 on charges of driving while intoxicated and obstruction of justice.

According to online court records, Stokes received a two-year prison sentence, a year for each count, with the majority of that time suspended. He has an active time of 30 days to serve. The Commonwealth’s Attorney’s Office confirmed he was given a delayed report of March 6 and will serve on weekends.
