ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va. — Thousands of customers are without electricity across Virginia’s Eastern Shore as crews work to restore service amid widespread outages.
According to A&N Electric Cooperative, 7,258 customers are currently affected by 619 active outages across its service area. The member-owned utility provides electricity to more than 35,000 homes, farms, and businesses in Accomack and Northampton counties in Virginia, as well as Smith Island in Somerset County, Maryland.
