NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — Barry Manilow can’t smile without Norfolk.
One of the world’s best-selling musical artists, Manilow will be coming to Chartway Arena Aug. 8 for what’s being billed as “The Last Norfolk concert.” The Emmy, Tony and Grammy award-winner had been scheduled to perform at Chartway Arena March 2, but “due to health concerns and on the advice of his doctor,” that show was rescheduled for later this summer.

Manilow had announced in December that he had been diagnosed with lung cancer, saying that a stage-one cancerous tumor had been found on his left lung.
